Mont Hope Clinic is a family and wellness clinic specializing in medicine, aesthetics and surgery. Our focus is primarily on maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle as the cornerstone of our treatment approach. We're constantly on the lookout for opportunities to enrich the lives of our team members and the community. So, when Dr.Nick Boden and Elaine Daly of Team Spine and Joint suggested that we join them to run for Make a Wish Malaysia, we simply could not resist! Make-A-Wish Malaysia, an initiative led by Tengku Zatashah Idris, allows children with life threatening medical conditions and their family to put aside their challenges for a day by immersing themselves in the activities organised on Wish Day. Each wish sees families filled with hope, strength and joy, and empowered to once again take up the fight against the medical challenges they face. For example, wishes that have been granted by Make-A-Wish Malaysia include: • Zi Yuan, 11 yrs old with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, his wish was to have an iPad to stay in touch with his friends via social media. • Safiyah, 13 yrs old with complex heart disease, her wish was to be a chef. • Murkeish, 11yrs old with Leukaemia, his wish was to meet his favourite footballer of Manchester City, Sergio Leonel Agüero Del Castillo. • Rose, 7 yrs old with Leukaemia, her wish was to be a Princess for the day. • Ali, 10 yrs old with Pre-B Cell Lymphoma, his wish was to have a new bicycle to cycle to school. Spine&Joint clinics specialise in treating sports and running injuries. We support healthy activities like running, and especially when running for a great cause. A group of our friends that are a mix of novice and experienced runners have come together to collectively try and raise RM10 000 for Make a Wish Malaysia. The patron Tengku Zatashah is a fitness freak and we have now convinced her to run her first race. Team 4D are always doing crazy experiences together - from traveling to different countries and discovering new adventures, to our recent relief mission to Nepal to help the Nepal earthquake victims. The 4 of us are inseparable when it comes to charity missions and traveling experiences.We decided to Run 4 Make-A-Wiash Malaysia , an initiative led by Tengku Zatashah, as we believe that this particular cause will bring a lot of happiness and fulfil the dreams of many deserving children. Dear Friends, It all started out when I asked a group of friends let’s run and raise funds for the kids of Make-A-Wish Malaysia, at the Angkor Wat Half Marathon. As Patron of Make-A-Wish Malaysia, I was thrilled that my friends were immediately ready to take on the challenge. And before you know it, game on!Each of us in the team are running different races, Aubry will be running 21km half marathon, whilst I will be running 3km.
