Hi, my name is Lily. I am a small potato in the Zumba community... Ha ha. As a small potato we still do our part in sharing our Zumba love and building the Zumba community into bigger ones. I have been involved in this charity event for a couple of years now. And will keep up with the tradition and participate in it again. The difference is... I am not the "unofficial camera girl" this year so I got to put down my heavy camera and have fun with everyone who is participating there. Looking forward to seeing you there?

I will be one of the HONG KONG'S ZINS (Zumba Instructors) collaborating in a FOUR HOURS ZUMBATHON on the 31st of August, to help raise money & awareness for the Po Leung Kuk children's home in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The Angels Zumbathon® is back for its 7th year - the largest and most renowned Zumba® event in Hong Kong and we are expecting about 500 participants. We will dance together for 4 hours and raise funds for Angels for Children.February 2018 was the first time I participated in this event after I started my career as a Zumba instructor for 5 months. Since then, I have been working very hard to become a better instructor and I am so excited to announce that I will be on stage this time to lead.Dear Friends and Family : You can be someone's Angel today. Let's all pitch in and let the world be a better place! All contributions, big or small are very much appreciated.Thank you so much for your support. Angels for Children is a small Hong Kong based non-for-profit charity. They raise funds to help improve the lives of children living in South East Asia. Angels for Children is run completely by volunteers and we depend on the support of sponsors to keep our event costs low so that all the money raised goes to where it is needed the most – the children.All money raised will go to support two programmes for Po Leung Kuk; the Children’s All Rounded Development Programme (CARDP) and the Life Education Project (LEP)

6 years ago I went for the first time to the Zumbathon, and it was the beginning of my story with both Zumba and Angels for Children. A year later I was organising it as one of the main volunteer of Angels for Children. This event is special for me as all the profit raised is going to help Po Leung Kuk Children discover new activity and find a passion, something that make you smile and feel good about yourself, like Zumba was for me. While these kids have everything in term of minimal survival, in term of clothes, food and school, nothing is include in the government help to broader their horizons through activities like sport, art, music. They also need to be educated to what life outside the orphanage is, from how to pay taxes to what is contraception. While their basic needs are meet, they lack the education, the knowledge you acquire through a family. I have been organising this event for more over 5 years now and this year is very special for me. After battling (and winning;)) a Breast cancer, all of this makes even more sense for me, and I just hope to help the best I can to give a better life to these kids. Of course doing while shaking my b... on music I love makes it enjoyable!!
