This is like your fun Christmas Advent Calendar, except it's more fun and extends way past Christmas and you get to decide what we do!!Hey everyone!Thanks for stopping by our page and helping us support Zero Waste Malaysia for their Project 0 campaign! Your kind contribution will help provide an educational and resourceful platform made accessible for all to better our understanding and practices to care for our environment and overall well-being. Our Planet, Our Responsibility!How this works:(Refer to photo in gallery)We will take on the challenges once we hit the set target. E.g. 13th December, Day 1- once the donation hits a minimum of RM50, Kai and Marylyn will vow to have a "No Netflix" day. Hi! We are Shu Huey and Yik Wei (Our instagram handle is zerowaste.fit) and we've been on our zero waste journey for a year now. When we first started, we were slowly giving up single-used plastics and began composting which reduced our trash to 1-2 times a week. Gradually it became once every couple of weeks and today we haven't thrown out the trash in more than 5 months! It's been a snowball effect!We started an instagram account to share our knowledge about zero waste and also our other passion, fitness and health. We hope to inspire others to empower themselves through these 3 things. Hi! We're from Minus Zero Waste, located in JB, Johor, Malaysia.We are participating with Zero Waste Malaysia (ZWM) in fundraising for their upcoming events/ programs in 2020. Project 0 is a month campaign starting from 1 December until 31st December with the objective to raise at least RM 100,000 to support the operations and programmes in 2020.In this fundraising project, we upcycle old clothes collected from the community and turn into reusable tote bags. You could arrange the pick up via our online store and donate as you like. All proceed will goes to ZWM Project 0 fund. When we generate ZERO waste,We circumvent waste from being disposed at landfills,We eliminate production of methane at landfills (Methane is a greenhouse gas that increases our Planet's temperature, causes #ClimateChange and is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide!),We create nutritious soil to plant crops that will feed the growing population (a #GlobalTrend), through the act of composting, We eliminate pollution arising from mishandled landfills (air pollution, toxic leaching into rivers, etc.),We are our own HERO. Hi everyone!Thank you for being with the Zero Waste Malaysia community for the past few years, some of you have been with us since Day 1 back in 2016! We are so grateful for your endless support, for your advocacy to be #sustainable and #ecofriendly, and for all of your #innovative ideas and resources that you share with the entire community. Through our voices and actions, the zero waste movement in Malaysia has received more recognition and garnered the public attention to adopt the lifestyle. Zero Waste Malaysia wants to continue to offer a resourceful and educative platform for all. We strive to be a sustainable, self-funding organization that is able to provide to the community. "From Zero to Hero" recognizes that small, collective effort will create a big impact! Working together with the "Zero Waste Malaysia Project 0" page, "From Zero to Hero" focuses on outreaching to the ZWM community for contributions. Here, sizes don't matter.
