Hi Friends. I guess this is my first time I am calling on my friends for charity donation. I am fundraising for Angels for Orphans. It has been my 3rd year participating in this 4 hours Charity Zumbathon. And I would like to do more than just a small donation by myself and to appear in a track or two on stage. This year to move further I will take part as one of photographer for the event as well as a track or two on stage. I need your support.... 4 hours with a heavy DSLR is a quite a challenging task for me not to mention the after event photo touch-up, but I promise I will do my best both on stage and off-stage. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous contributions in 2015. You helped me raise a total of 6,000HKD, lifting me to the second highest single fundraiser of last year's Zumbathon. THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU!!!An amazing total of 94,674HKD was raised and went to the Po Leung Kuk orphanage in Hong Kong. It helped cover the cost of the 'Joy to Learn' programme, helping children who have been relocated outside of their families to continue their schooling, ensuring their well-being and their futures.Supporting Angels for Orphans lies close to my heart, as I believe that all children have the right to shelter, food, education, clothing and medicine. I am one of the organizers and also a participant - and will try to Zumba for as many of the 4 hours as I can!!!All proceeds from the 2016 Angels Zumbathon Event will benefit the Joy to Learn Programme through Po Leung Kuk in Hong Kong. The Joy to Learn Programme is part of the New Comers’ Ward which is a place of refuge for children under the age of 18 who require emergency and short term residential care due to a family crisis. Each year about 350 children are admitted with an average stay of three to four months. During their stay in the New Comers’ Ward most of these children have to suspend schooling for a variety of reasons due to the abrupt change in their circumstances. The Joy to Learn Programme provides small group tutorial sessions to bridge the academic break the children experience whilst they are not attending their normal schools. The contribution from the Angels Zumbathon Event will go directly to the provision of qualified teaching staff, teaching materials and other structured educational activities. Please sponsor me and help make a difference in these children's lives!
