Long Ducker is one of the charitable traditions taken from Harrow School in England. Every year at Harrow, boys, teachers, Old Harrovians and parents combine to organise and undertake a charity sponsored run, the Long Ducker. Now in its sixth year, the Hong Kong version takes place annually along a 15.5km route on the MacLehose trail that runs immediately behind the School. This year the Fung's family will again participate in the the 7.6km Short Ducker. We hope to make a difference by raising money for the 6 pupil-nominated charities - Help For Domestic Workers - HandsOn Hong Kong - Crossroads Foundation - Hong Kong Dog Rescue - Action Against Hunger - Girls Not Brides. My name is Jonas and I am 5 years old. This is my 2nd fund raising walk to raise money for those who are in need. I will take my brother Jesse with me this year and callee our team J&J. Finnian, Ariane and Richard will join over 1000 others at the Long Ducker on Saturday 10 March 2018. Long Ducker is modelled on one of the charitable traditions brought from Harrow School in London, in which students, teachers, parents and Old Harrovians come together to run either 10 or 20 miles for charity.In the Hong Kong version of Long Ducker, the charity Run & Walk is followed by a vibrant fair day at School featuring entertainment, games and activites and a spectracular selection of foods from around the world. Friends of Harrow, the parent teacher association of the school, coordinates the International Food Court, all proudly sourced or prepared and served by parents. Natalia will spend her Long Ducker day working on logistics and support for Friends of Harrow. One day I'll get out on that trail!In 2018, Long Ducker charitable funds will support Crossroads Foundation, HandsOn Hong Kong, HELP for Domestic Workers, Hong Kong Dog Rescue, Action Against Hunger and Girls Not Brides.Please help us to help them, by giving a little something.
