We realize many had faced hardships especially financial and mental wise during this covid-19 pandemic. According to UNICEF, 266 cases of suicides and deaths are reported between 18th March to 30th October 2020, in which 1 out of 4 of those cases are teenagers aged between 15 and 18. Hence, we want to try our best to help and provide psychological support to the B40 children and families.Our Challenge:Zoey: Every RM50, I'll jump ropes 100 times. Shi Hui: Every RM10, I'll run 1km.Poh Yuan: Every RM50, I'll sing a song that you request and record it to send to you.Dheva: Every RM10, I'll show my fishing adventures to you. How funds raised will be utilisedFunds raised would be utilised to provide therapy and psycho-social support services to children and their families. We will also utilise the funds for our multi-disciplinary Covid-19 Child Support Team to help provide mental health support to children who have been left home alone because parents have been hospitalised. And in some cases, these children have lost one or even both parents to Covid-19 infection. For every RM100, 2 therapy sessions will be provided!SUPPORT US BY DONATING TODAY! Let's make an impact online!Adversity at times of pandemic hasn't been well for everyone, among the issues that should highlighted should be our mental health. According to The Straits Times, the police recorded 468 suicides in the first five months of 2021, compared to 631 in 2020, and 609 in 2019. The three main causes cited were family problems, emotional pressure and finances. According to WHO, one in 5 women and 1 in 13 men report having been sexually abused as a child aged 0-17 years. That is why we are here to make a difference!To make this fundraising interesting, each of us to decided to contribute our skill for a greater cause. So, whenever you donate for someone in need, we'll get something for you too!Goal of FundraisingTo provide psychosocial support for B40 Children and Families who doesn't have the access on their own.How will the Funds be UtiliseEvery RM100 = 2 healing therapy sessions for childrenKent G: For every RM 50, I will create a comic strip of your message. We are 4 close friends who have gone through the ups and downs of life, and have always been MAD about making lives better for children as Child Advocates in Malaysia, and as Mama, Opah, Omma and Tok Mama. Our latest adventure (as Mamas After Dawn (M.A.D.) fundraising team) is to raise funds to support a wonderful cause by Childline Foundation to provide children in B40 communities to have access to psycho-social mental health support and therapies to help them cope with the trauma of child abuse, neglect as well as the impact of Covid-19 in their lives.Each of us have diverse passions and talents (some recently discovered!). So during this lockdown (FMCO), here's what each of us will do to help reach our RM6000 team funding target!Aunty Wong: "For every accumulative RM500 raised (RM500, RM1000, RM1500, RM2000....) I will create and give away a Plant Starter Kit (homegrown plants @ SS3 Creative Hub) to a children's home; when it is allowed to do so after lockdown."Jay:"Discovered my new found talent! Childline Foundation will utilize the funds to provide children and family mental health therapy sessions by professionals in the field. They targeted beneficiaries are those whose mental health have been neglected due to social taboos and other restrictions.This time round in exchange for your donation, our team members will carry out a challenge individually or together as a team.We hope to raise RM 3,000 in the next 30 days and invite you to join in our journey. The challenges once taken will be uploaded in our social media for you and our followers. This is for us to reach out to a wider audience and collect as many donations as possible. We hope that this might also be an edutainment during this difficult time to show that your donations matters to us. You can also check and balance if we are doing it right.Each of our team members have a challenge they will carry out for the all one-time donation as there are a total of five members. Once reaching a milestone, the milestone challenge will be carried out by one representative team member or the whole team. The Youths After Midnight team is FUNdraising! The project is called the Challenge Jar. The concept of which is very simple. For every RM500 donations accumulated, our team will choose a randomised challenge which has been written down and put in and selected by us. These challenges are decided by our friend (the internet) as well as the team. (e.g. eat a raw chili, dye our hair blue, etc.)If you were to donate RM200 and above by yourself, you can add your own challenge into the jar for us to pick eventually, by mentioning it in your message during the donation process.This whole journey will be recorded and posted on our social media accounts to allow you to join us on this adventure and entertain you hehehe!The cause we are fundraising for is the Superheroes for Children project carried out by Childline Foundation where funds accumulated will be used to bring professionals in to provide mental health therapy sessions  for children who do not have the opportunity to access this therapy sessions on their own. Our target group is the B40 communities' children who often neglect their mental health due to the social taboos regarding mental health.
