Rhythm in Bronze, through our children’s theatre project series “Bites of Delights”, is bringing creativity and passion in children through the performing arts. We believe that the Bites of Delights series is an innovative educational tool that allows children to co-create a music theatre production, as well as learning to appreciate the gamelan as a traditional art form in a contemporary setting. This year, we bring you a truly unique children’s music theatre production, OMBAK! which will take centre stage at the newly established KuAsh Theatre, Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, here in Kuala Lumpur from the 9th to 22nd August 2014. OMBAK! is our second production under the Bites of Delights series, following a highly successful stint in 2012, which received impressive accolades from the media and audiences alike, and won the 2013 BOH Cameronian Awards for Best Sound Design and Best Group Performance. This inspiring inventive music theatre production features children from the ages of 8 to 17. Our dream is that more children watching OMBAK! will be inspired to learn more about our cultural heritage and more children will learn to express themselves artistically to create a truly creative nation of people.
