The
PAWS GARDEN PROJECT has been set up by Farringdon Group Ltd. in order to raise funds to repair, refurbish and renovate the
Paws Animal Welfare Society shelter in Subang, Malaysia. This includes clearing and re-turfing an outside area where potential adopters can meet the animals, repairing the roof and fences and fixing any other areas in need of repair.
PAWS (PAWS Animal Welfare Society) is a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya that has been in operation since 1987. They receive the surrender of unwanted dogs and cats which they vaccinate, deworm, neuter/spay, and put up for adoption. Currently, there are over 250 dogs and 250 cats under the care of the shelter. The shelter and all costs involved in running it, are entirely funded by the generous donations of the public as well as proceeds from charitable events.
The
PAWS team consists of three office staff, a number of part-time veterinarians, one vet assistant and seven kennel workers.

We are looking to fund raise a combined contribution of RM30,000 and for this project, which would mean we would be able to Roof, Fence, provide new holding areas and clear and create a fun outside space for the animals, making it a perfect area for the dogs to play and for potential adopters to sit, watch and meet their future family members in a friendly environment.
As you can see from the below gallery below, refurbishment of the outside is developing well and we are now looking toward repairing the roof, fencing and holding areas.
Stuart's challenge of 21 Half Marathons is 12 months will help to raise additional funds to complete the PAWS Garden Project.
