Take the #1000ChallengePH: One thousand 1000’s in one thousand hours

My Story

One thousand 1000’s in one thousand hours! Can we rise up to the challenge? #1000ChallengePH

In line with Save the Children’s Lahat Dapat campaign, we aim to raise awareness on the importance of the first 1000 days of a child as well as to gather support for our nutrition program. This is through the #1000ChallengePH! http://scph.at/1000ChallengePH

The critical period of growth and development begins from conception until the child's second birthday. Poor nutrition in the first 1, 000 days of a child's life may lead to stunting, a permanent and irreversible form of malnutrition that currently affects 3.6 million children in the Philippines.

Children who get the right nutrition in their first 1,000 days have a foundation that lasts their entire lives. Let’s make this a reality for all. Participate in the #1000ChallengePH. http://scph.at/1000ChallengePH

Where does your money go?

Your support will enable us to continue training health workers across the country who are at the frontline of delivering life-saving services for infants and children. In addition, we know that poor health stems from misinformation. With your help, we will be able to provide nutrition education among school children and their parents. Reproductive health and nutrition services for mothers are also provided, in order to help improve the country’s state of maternal health.

Your participation in this challenge will support our Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) project in the National Capital Region, with Brgy. North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN) in Navotas City as our pilot site. Our CMAM project aims to identify and treat malnourished children in the barangay, an urban poor community of informal settlers.

There is a lot that we can achieve by working together. With you by our side, we can save the children.
