My Story

Hi there Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page. I will be having a piano recital where I intend to raise funds (via SimplyGiving) in support of Children's Cancer Foundation. Details are as follows: Date and time: 4pm, 8 November 2014 (Saturday) Venue: Steinway Gallery, Basement 1 Palais Renaissance Programme: Haydn’s Sonata in C, Hob. 50, Chopin’s Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op. 52 and something special at the end :) Founded in 1992, CCF provides children with cancer and their families the much needed support in their battle against the life threatening illness. In a year, CCF helps close to 2000 children and their families at different stages of the illness. The fight against cancer is undeniably challenging, especially so when it afflicts a young life. I very much hope you will be most generous in your donations to the Foundation as they go about helping these families in what I can only imagine to be a "roller-coaster ride". I admit that I do not have the guts to do something outlandish such as shave my head, but I can assure you that preparing for this recital has involved a great deal of effort - over 6 months' worth of weekends! The piano has been an immense part of my life growing up, and I cannot wait to share this love for music again. Once again, I hope you will dig deep and donate. And of course, if you can spare some time on a Saturday afternoon, I would love to see you at the recital! As this will be a private event and seats are limited, please do let me know if you would like to come. Melissa P.S.
