YOUTHS IN ACTION

Calling all youths! Be part of the Social Giving Revolution movement to fundraise for a social or environmental cause that you are passionate about.  

It can be any cause that you want to make this world a better place. Shape this world into a future that YOU want to live in. Just a few examples of the inspiring fundraising stories that we have witnessed on SimplyGiving:

• JOM BOTAK – Taylor’s University students raised RM156,414 for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (MAKNA) by courageously going bald!
  
• Interns and volunteers at IDEAS ACADEMY raised RM80,625 for this amazing school for refugees; and another RM30,733 for the IDEAS AUTISM CENTRE – school for underprivileged children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
  
• 11-year old AIDEN raised RM15,000 to buy laptops and computer training for a local teacher for a stateless school in Sabah.
  
• Another 11-year old - Ryan, graciously sacrificing receiving presents for his birthday to ask for donations instead for Fugee School, helping refugee children access good education.
• ANIS, as part of her school project, raised RM22,000 to work with WWF in implementing cameras to protect the tigers in Belum.
  
• Malaysian students living here and abroad taking the Spicy Noodle Challenge to raise funds for Teach for Malaysia and education for underprivileged children in Malaysia.
  
• Grade 4 students at Seven Skies International School raised RM13,500 for Rohinga refugee children living in Malaysia.
  

There are many many more! You too can raise funds for causes that you care about securely, transparently and efficiently through SimplyGiving. All beneficiaries on SimplyGiving are verified so that donors have the confidence that money donated are accounted for in a secure and transparent manner.

In the next 12 months, we are targeting RM1million to be raised by YOUths for causes that are important to you! Collectively, we can all make a HUGE difference together! Be part of this movement.

How to start a fundraising campaign

1. Click on the red “Start Fundraising” button.
   
2. Select a charity or cause that you care about. If you do not see a project that you like, email us at [email protected] and we will help set up your nominated charity or cause.
   
3. Follow the instructions to set up your personalized fundraising page. Tell the world why you are passionate about supporting this cause.
   
4. Be extra creative and innovative – take up a challenge or activity that will catch the attention of potential donors.
   
5. Add photos (or even a video!) to make your page more personalized and engaging.
   
6. And your page is up! Share your unique URL link with your friends and family network through email and social media. ASK them to support you by donating and helping to share your page with their network. Watch your impact multiply!
