Arts On The Move KL

Help us to continue bringing arts to people from all walks of life in Kuala Lumpur!

==

For the past two years, Arts On The Move KL (AOTM) has brought high-quality visual and performing arts to people from all walks of life inside one of Kuala Lumpur's largest public transit hubs. With the support of our funders and partners, we’ve been able to host a wide variety of local and international performers, ranging from a French bagpipe band and traditional Kelantanese musicians, to sape musicians from Sarawak and a Chinese opera troupe.

Our carefully curated weekly performances have proven a hit with commuters at Masjid Jamek LRT station, brightening their daily commutes with tunes new and old. AOTM also helps to showcase the best of local up-and-coming talent. But now, we need your help. As we reach the end of our funding, we’re looking to you, the public, to support KL’s blossoming arts scene.

We are convinced that the arts are vital for the soul – for cities, and for everyone living and working there. Art should be accessible for all. A society with strong connections to the arts is a more compassionate, more thoughtful society – the kind of society we should strive to become. Will you help us preserve a vital space for the arts in KL?

What We Need
To keep running AOTM next year, we need to raise RM80,000. The funds will pay for:
  • Performances from 5pm to 7pm every Thursday at Masjid Jamek LRT station; and,

  • Maintenance of a 200-foot visual arts display inside the Masjid Jamek LRT tunnel.
All funds received will be used strictly for AOTM performances and arts displays. AOTM and Think City will not receive any proceeds from this campaign.

Can you help support the arts in KL?

About Arts On The Move KL
Arts On The Move KL is a unique public transit arts programme brought to you by Think City and RapidKL. With the support of Yayasan Hasanah and Citi Foundation, AOTM has produced two years of weekly arts performances that are free for the public to attend – making AOTM the longest-running arts programme of its kind.
