Animal Rescue Cambodia (ARC), Phnom Penh Animal Welfare Society (PPAWS) and VSL Veterinary Clinic are joining together for the first ever animal-treatment mission to Silk Island, a popular tourist destination just a short ferry ride from Phnom Penh.

In Cambodia, there are THREE times more dogs than humans, and in rural areas like Silk Island without access to vet care, this percentage is even higher. The community often wants to help the animals, but it is too difficult when the population increases beyond control and thousands of animals suffer with disease, neglect or severe injuries due to car accidents.

Additionally, more than 800 people die from rabies in Cambodia each year. And after a tragic death recently where a young girl was killed by the virus, the story was spread throughout social media and lead to widespread panic, including reports of people killing or abandoning their animals for fear of contracting rabies.

You can help to save these animals.

Your donation of $33 will neuter one animal, including rabies vaccination and microchip.

Neutering is essential to address this problem in the most sustainable way. It will reduce the population to a manageable amount, so that each animal can be loved and cared for. By neutering one animal, you will be preventing the unwanted birth of 11,000 animals in just five years!
