Running in the Singapore heat - for an outstanding cause!

Sarah Boyd is participating in CEOs Against Cancer - Race Against Cancer 2015
and is fundraising for Singapore Cancer Society

Running 10k in this heat will be a sweaty challenge - but I have roped my son in to run with me, and help me raise money for a cause very dear to my heart...

My Story

I lost both my parents to cancer.  My mother when I was 20 and my father just recently in 2013. 

It sounds so obvious, but cancer is a horrible disease; painful, sometimes long and undignified.  For those who are going through it, or have gone though it, I cannot speak personally; but for those that have lived with the disease through someone they love it is soul destroying and heart breaking.

I feel a strong need to try and help in whatever small way I can; as finding a cure seems within grasp of our generation.  If no-one had to go through what I saw my parents, and other members of my family / friends who have suffered with cancer go through; this world would be a much better place.
