My Story

On November 8th the Philippines was devastated by one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall, Typhoon Haiyan. The UN believes 11 million people have been affected. Many thousands are feared dead and over 600,000 displaced. Those who have survived are in urgent need of help that includes shelter, clean water and food. At Markit we pride ourselves on helping children less fortunate than us and we are pledging to help. We have set up fundraising pages to fund relief efforts with our chosen charity UNICEF . Your generosity will help them provide access to lifesaving care and support for children affected by the typhoon. If we all make a small donation we should be able to reach our fundraising goal. Markit will match the first USD 20,000 of the total donated by colleagues to these charities. Whether big or small, we hope you are able to make a donation to help those in need at this time.
