My Story

Cancer is an indiscriminate killer.  It has no regard for age, gender, ethnicity, culture, religion.  Every person I know has been touched by it.  Many of them in multiple ways.  Those who have been patients and survivors are invariably supporters for others. I am always amazed and inspired by their strength, their resilience, their sheer defiance of this horrific disease. While I am not a runner, have frankly never liked it, nor been particularly good at it, joining the Race Against Cancer is my way of attempting to demonstrate a bit of their determination.  My way of paying tribute to the patients, the caregivers, the researchers, the physicians, the multitudes of supporters who refuse to let cancer win.
