Through simplygiving you can make a donation by sponsoring a friend or giving money directly to a charity of your choice.

Here are the six simple steps to make a donation by sponsoring a friend:

1	After finding your friend (see finding your friends on simplygiving) click on the page of the event you wish to sponsor. (you will go directly to their fundraising homepage if they only have one active event)

2	Click on the red 'donate now' button on your friend’s fundraising page.

3	Select the amount you'd like to donate. You can choose to leave your name; a message for your friend or your contact details to enable the charity to send you/process a tax receipt for your donation - then click 'next'.

4	You are now at our secure payment gateway. PayPal will now need to take the details of the card you're using for the donation. They will also need an email address so they can send you confirmation when the payment has been made.

5	Finally, check through everything you've told PayPal – if you need to change anything, click on the 'change' button and update the details. Don't forget to tick the terms and conditions box, and then click 'make donation'.

6	Your charity donation will now be confirmed.
