My Story

Ever wonder what kind of impact the money you give to charity actually has? With VIVA’s model of collective action and working in partnership you can be certain that the money you give is being spent on projects that will have a lasting impact on children’s lives. On January 25th, 2015 I will be running the Standard Chartered Hong Kong 10K Race. I have never really been a keen runner, however running to support the work of VIVA takes the challenge to a whole new level. I like the approach VIVA takes with helping vulnerable and at-risk children around the world as it seeks to inspire lasting change in their lives through the power of collective action. By encouraging and forming networks of churches and community organizations already involved with helping the children, VIVA’s reach goes further and is more sustainable in bringing real, lasting change for these children. You can find out more at www.viva.org As part of my participation in this run, I am endeavoring to raise HKD$10,000 to be donated directly to VIVA, and together with a team of over 50 other VIVA runners, we endeavor to raise half a million HKD.
