I'm turning 6 and I've chosen Ocean (and Mermaid) to be my birthday theme this year. I am a lucky girl with lots of toys at home already, so instead of birthday presents, I hope my family and friends can donate some money to the charity Plastic Free Seas. I would also like to encourage everyone to use less plastic, and if you do, please recycle it. I hope we children will still have a beautiful ocean filled with amazing sea creatures when we grow up. Maybe if the ocean is clean enough, the mermaids will come out from hiding too!

Plastic Free Seas
The Lantau Island Paddle will see Jonny and Tim paddle board 75km around the whole of Lantau Island, across 5 consecutive days. They will face changes in currents, traffic from passing boats and the airport, unknown coastline and, of course, a huge physical challenge. All this is with the aim of raising HK$100,000 for Plastic Free Seas (PFS).PFS is an incredible charity who are working hard in Hong Kong to educate the generations on the impact of using plastic and what we can all be doing to change to minimise our effect on the environment. PFS currently offers workshops to companies and provide free educational sessions to schools, which they're ready to develop further so that they can reach the masses.

This is a local HK charity which organizes beach cleanups / campaigns for less use of disposable plastic and educates children. Its my first ever marathon so would appreciate any donations to this cause. My training companion is pictured above.
