2019年1月12日,Adventurous Global Schools (AGS)慈善組織的王德志Danny(AGS創辦人兼主席),龔朗賢Laurence(AGS創辦人及教育總監),聯同麥明詩Louisa(2015香港小姐冠軍和AGS非執行理事)和潘梓鋒Bryan(TVB電視節目主持),將進行一項跨國單車騎行挑戰:從香港太平山山頂踏單車至柬埔寨Sneung村的AGS慈善學校。 Danny Wang and Laurence Gribble, Founding Directors of Adventurous Global Schools (AGS), joined by Louisa Mak, Miss Hong Kong 2015 and AGS Non-Executive Director and Bryan Pun, TV host, will cycle from The Peak, Hong Kong to AGS School, Sneung, Cambodia to help raise funds for the expansion of the school and to raise awareness of the educational needs of those in underprivileged areas. In addition, one of the beneficiary organizations of this fundraising campaign will be SOS Children's Villages, a global federation that provides humanitarian and developmental assistance to children in need and protects their interests and rights around the world. Leaving on 12 January 2019, this trip will see them cycle through 5 countries: China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. The journey will last for about 28 days, covering 2500km.[Update on 24 April 2019]Hi all, It has been a while since we last updated! First of all, thank you so much for your support throughout the whole journey. It has been a wonderful experience for all of us. We raised more than $100,000HKD from different platforms during the trip and all donations will be sent to Adventurous Global Schools and SOS children’s villages for the future education of the kids. As we ‘cycled to school’, a TVB film crew accompanied us and filmed a documentary covering the trip. The programme will be broadcast on 9 June (Sun) at 11pm on TVB. Tune in to find out more about our trip and the education issues faced in underprivileged areas. If you are also keen to volunteer as a teacher and work with disadvantaged children in Cambodia, please contact us at [email protected]. You’re bound to have the experience of a lifetime while giving back and exploring the country! We look forward to seeing you soon!
