The Autism Cafe Project
‘Au-mazing People’ is a group of passionate final year students from Victoria University (Sunway Campus) who are currently taking a course unit called ABC (Applied Business Challenge) as one of our final year subjects and we chose to organize a social awareness and fundraising campaign called ‘Au-mazing Heroes’ as part of our charity challenge. ‘Au-mazing Heroes’ is a one-month campaign in conjunction with Autism Awareness Month, focused on spreading awareness and empowerment about autism to the local community as well as raising funds for Autism Cafe Project (ACP). ACP is café, staffed by autistic youth and also acts as a training ground for the specially challenged to gain skills which could help them be independent. Catering is the core business of the Autism Cafe Project. Therefore, a pickup truck will be crucial to their business, to ensure efficiency when transporting the food and catering equipment as well as transporting the staff safely. We will also be having a campaign to showcase through autistic youths modeled in ACP’s official T-shirts and their handmade accessories. Donating to this cause, you will be helping autistic youths working at the café. You would also be helping to raise awareness of autism to which most of the general public is still blind. You can donate any amount of your liking but if you donate RM150.00 and above you will receive free goodies from ACP’s official products such as T-shirts and bracelets. Yayasan Chow Kit, "Every Child Matters"
We, students from HELP University (Subang 2 Campus), are willing to raise funds for Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK), in order for the organisation to fuel the services centred on the well-being of at-risk children. Parallel to our vision of upholding a respect for children’s rights, we are intending to solidify the awareness of children’s right to access fundamental education that could pave a pathway towards a bright future.

Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organisation that aims to provide a safe space and expose the children to as many positive opportunities to allow each child to reach their full potential. The children’s center ‘Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak’ caters to children from the age of 7-12 and their teenage center known as ‘KL Krash Pad’ welcomes youths from the ages of 13 to 21. All the centres provide food, age-appropriate facilities, and set of programmes designed based on 5 Pillars of the followings: Education, Psycho-Social, Sports & Health, Spirituality, and Recreational. They have an array of activities offered such as games, art classes, psychosocial activities, recreational activities, motivational talks, sports activities and educational programs. YCK team ( fondly known as YCK Family ) aspires to tackle issues affecting the local community such as education, foster care, documentation, skill building, adoption, homelessness, abuse and many more.We the students of HELP University are currently enrolled in the course Leadership and Life Skills. One of the efforts undertaken by our class is to raise funds for Yayasan Chow Kit in hopes to sustain current and future programs as well as endeavors carried out by the organisation for children who are in need. Yayasan Chow Kit is a 24-hour crisis and drop-in center providing meals, activities, therapy, case management and educational programs for at-risk children of Chow Kit. Yayasan Chow Kit, "Every Child Matters"
The children of Yayasan Chow Kit are aged 7 to 12 years old and are considered children at risk. These children do not receive adequate love from their parents and they have no place to go and feel belonged. This is one of the main reasons why Yayasan Chow Kit was formed. The organization does not practice any kind of discrimination or bias as all the children are treated equally. Some of the children are in-schooled because they were born without an identity due to statuses of their families. They are also very talented and filled with enthusiasm when it comes to different fields like theatre, sports, arts and crafts and games. We are Psychology students at HELP University and we have chosen to raise funds for Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK). We are looking at this as a stepping stone to make a change in the community and gather them to make them see that every child deserves equal rights and education. These children should be given all the opportunities to discover themselves and achieve their personal potential. Besides that, YCK is experiencing insufficient amount of money to cover medical expenses. The children with severe health conditions require more attention and donation because proper medical care and cases are highly charged. It would be heartbreaking to see these innocent children with a potentially remarkable future not receive enough care and mindfulness. Every child matters.The money raised for this organization goes to the children's education supplies, school fees and most importantly to their medical expenses. A minimum of RM500 is aimed and targeted to be raised for these children.
