Mother's Choice
On 14th of April a team of 20 CVC Asia Pacific employees, family members and friends will be taking on a 10km Fearless Dragon team race in Hong Kong. The course on which we will be competing against other teams is a fairly challenging route in Sai Kung (New Territories), more akin to a trail rather than a road race. To make sure we can all make it across the finish line, we have been training weekly with running coaches from Run Our City - a social enterprise focused on inspiring teenagers (particularly from challenging backgrounds) to train for distance running by providing free classes. These classes are funded by organizing races like Fearless Dragon and conducting training for corporates, which our team had the first-hand experience of. The time has now come to put these newly-acquired distance running skills to test...We are running to raise funding for Mother’s choice – a Hong Kong charity serving children without families through providing temporary care (child care home for developing babies and children with special needs) and fostering services, as well as support pregnant teenagers and education workshops to reduce crisis pregnancy among youth. We are working in the same Wealth Management team established since 1983. We work hard, play hard and serve hard our community. This year, we partnered with Mr Gary Leung, the blind marathon record breaker in HK, who will take the long run challenge from Beijing back to HK during 25 March to 28 April to raise fund for the loving organization Mother’s Choice. Our colleagues will take turns to be the guide runners and supporters during the 35 days course. We have a vision of dramatically changing the notion of what a female-specific fitness facility looks and feels like. At Pherform, we are obsessed with the idea of "becoming the strongest version of yourself" - physically and mentally. You will see that this permeates through every facet of our operations, and we believe that we all have a role to play in inspiring and supporting others who will someday follow in your footsteps.This is why we feel it's important to support others, like Mothers Choice, in the selfless acts they do on a daily basis.Pherform SupportHer 2019 Calories Event on March 30th will consist of 5 teams of 6 people. Each Team will complete 2019 calories on the Assault Bike as fast as possible or within the 3 hour window. Each team will raise a minimum of $2,019 towards Mothers Choice with 100% of donations go to Mothers Choice.
